Abstract

Tokenomics, the study and design of economic systems within blockchain ecosystems, is emerging as a transformative factor in reshaping modern accounting education. This paper explores how tokenomics influences blockchain's scalability, sustainability, and overall growth, emphasizing its relevance for integrating innovative economic frameworks into accounting curricula. Key elements such as token design, economic incentives, and governance mechanisms are analyzed, highlighting their potential to enhance understanding of decentralized ecosystems in accounting education.The role of tokenomics in fostering user engagement, attracting investment, and enabling decentralized governance is also examined, alongside its integration into traditional economic systems and comparisons with conventional approaches to managing inflation. Furthermore, the paper discusses emerging trends in tokenomics—such as NFTs, DAOs, and cross-chain interoperability—and their implications for accounting education.By addressing these aspects, this study underscores the importance of incorporating tokenomics into accounting teaching methodologies to prepare future-ready accountants capable of navigating the evolving digital and decentralized economic landscape...
